i'm seeking, trying to fulfill my infinite curiosity. i'm a photographer in development, a music addict learning to play the guitar & an obsessed traveler. i'm also an oddball, freethinker, who likes to read (shocking) and is stubbornly independent. at the end of the day : "i'm in the war of my life, at the core of my life, got no choice but to fight 'til it's done" (jm - war of my life) |

You know, the one that gives housewives/full-time mothers a pension— wages for housework?
It’s ONLY A HUGE VICTORY FOR FEMINISM, SOCIALISM, AND WOMEN OF COLOR….
Seriously?!? ?!
First of, it may be a good idea to inform you all that Venezuela is broke. Yes, one of the countries that produces more oil in the world is broke. Why? Because of poor management. Chavez was in office for 14 years, died, basically appointed his VP as successor (who so far has proven he has no idea what he’s doing) and TA-DAH : broke … BRO-KE. That stated, there’s no way this “awesome” idea is sustainable. Ever heard the expression “bread and circuses” ? (If not, google is your friend, so is Wikipedia) : that’s all this measure is, trying to cover all the things that are wrong, by offering something that will make most of the population happy. Problem solved. Not.
Also, let me give you a little insight : currently, in Venezuela, there’s shortage of things that go from toilet paper to chicken, and when you’re lucky enough to find what you need at the supermarket, well there’s a limit on how many you can buy. Not only that, but most people are scared to leave their own houses for fear of being kidnapped, robbed, killed, etc. The minimum wedge isn’t enough for, well, anything. And a bottle of water costs the equivalent of filling up your car’s tank, twice (before you start saying how awesome this is, do think how many bottles of water you drink in a week and how many times you fill up your tank during the same time. And no, drinking from the sink isn’t an option here).
Venezuela is currently under a dictatorship, advertised as socialism and pretending to be democratic. To all of those who said that “Venezuela is light years ahead” and “a place to move to”, please, do pack your bags and move here, you’ll be more than welcome to come survive here, cause here we don’t live, we get by, one day at a time. But hey, if you’re a full time mom you’ll get to collect pension. Awesome.
PS: “HUGE VICTORY FOR FEMINISM, SOCIALISM, AND WOMEN OF COLOR….” … Not even gonna bother … Read sweetie, it’s good for you …The brain within this woman is something to admire. I wish I was somewhat like her. I hope I can become somewhat like her.
Happy bday, dear Mr. President. All roads do lead to you.
If this is what 53 look like, bring them on ! …

Security camera clips that make the news usually show bad things, but Coke decided to “look at the world a little differently” in this heartwarming viral video. They found security camera footage from around the world showing happy moments: people stealing kisses instead of possessions, dealing potato chips instead of drugs, and offering car assistance rather than road rage.
